Is GreetPlayer the same plugin as Greet Bubble?
Yes. Greet Bubble was renamed GreetPlayer when the video player, audio player and playlists were added. Existing bubbles, settings, assignments and analytics carry over when you update.
Do I need the free plugin to use GreetPlayer Pro?
No. GreetPlayer Pro works on its own. While Pro is active, the free plugin’s features are switched off, so you can keep it installed or remove it.
How many different bubbles can I show?
GreetPlayer Free gives you one site-wide bubble plus one assignment rule. That rule can cover many pages, but with one bubble. GreetPlayer Pro allows unlimited rules, so each page, post, product or event can have its own bubble.
Which video sources are supported?
Free: the Media Library, YouTube, Vimeo and external MP4 or WebM URLs. Pro adds Bunny.net, Gumlet, Mux and HLS streams.
Does GreetPlayer work with WooCommerce and The Events Calendar?
Yes. Assignment rules can target WooCommerce products and product categories, and any public custom post type such as events. Both were tested on greetplayer.com.
Can visitors send me a message from the bubble?
Yes, with GreetPlayer Pro. A bubble button can open a Web3Forms form, a WhatsApp form or any form plugin’s shortcode.
Does the bubble autoplay?
By default the bubble plays its clip muted as a preview. Set Video Preview to Play when visible or Poster only to load it later. Video and audio players don’t autoplay unless you turn Autoplay on.
Will GreetPlayer slow my site down?
Players load as a poster until someone presses play, and their files load only on pages that use them. With Video Preview set to Play when visible or Poster only, the bubble doesn’t download its clip until it’s needed. Keep that clip light either way.
Is GreetPlayer translation-ready?
Yes. GreetPlayer and GreetPlayer Pro ship with translation templates (.pot files).
