Bubbles for posts and categories

Written for GreetPlayer 5.0.1

Free + Pro Works in GreetPlayer Free. Options marked Pro need GreetPlayer Pro.

A rule can target single posts, or every post in chosen categories, tags or other public taxonomy terms.

Step by step

Assign a bubble to posts or a category.

  1. Add a rule

Rules for Specific Pages listing eight assignment rules

Go to GreetPlayer → Settings → Assign Bubble and click Add New under Rules for Specific Pages.

  2. For chosen posts

An assignment rule for Pages with a selected page

Set Select By to Specific Post(s), Post Type to Post, and pick the posts.

  3. Or for a whole category

An assignment rule using Categories/Taxonomies with a category selected

Set Select By to Categories/Taxonomies and choose the terms under Select Categories/Taxonomies. Every post in those terms gets the bubble.

  4. Choose the bubble and save

An assignment rule using Categories/Taxonomies with a category selected

Pick the bubble under Select Media and click Save.

Note Category rules apply to single posts only, not to category archive pages. GreetPlayer Free includes one assignment rule. One rule can cover many pages, but they all get the same bubble. GreetPlayer Pro allows as many rules as you need.
